What's the return policy?

I'm constantly asked questions about copywriting and how people can go about figuring it out, and I want to answer as many as I can with my free content. I LOVE free stuff. Sephora, are you listening?

Other people teach loads of free stuff, too.

So yeah. Why pay, right? Because people that pay pay attention. Studies show that for about every dollar you pay for something, it feels like about roughly $10 of motivation. That's why we hate to waste stuff. We feel like we've failed.

If something costs you nada, you'll likely invest the same amount of time in it.

My best advice is always to gamify how much you have to make to make back your investment. Is it one client project? An extra shop sale each month until February? Figure out what that looks like, and put your mind to it.

For me, the transformation happens in the transaction.

When I pay for things, a funny thing happens: I actually do them.

It sounds like a lot of work. Do I have time for this?

CfC is self-paced—you can start now, start in 3 months, and go at your flow. I harp on the “30/60/90 day plans" so much because that's how long the content takes if you put in a couple of hours a week. So, you tell me: do you have the time to not do this? If you’re a-ok researching podcasts, webinars, freebies, and blogs with copywriting formulas and psychology as you piece together your message, then go for it.


But, if you could make more money spending your time elsewhere, then I’d consider taking the plunge. Most lessons are under 12 minutes long, and include a smidge of homework: but at the end of the day, you’ve got lifetime access.


We recommend setting aside about 1 hour a week for 8 weeks—or 2 hours if you want to join all the calls live. Don’t have time for that? Just plan to dig into the group, where my team and I pop in each week.

To serve my students as best I can, enrollment during live launches currently only opens twice a year.

I DO eventually have plans to evergreen this product, enabling us to get it into the hands of people that need it stat (I don't believe they should have to wait for some arbitrary launch time period), but I don't have it up like that right now.

I kinda don’t finish courses. What makes this different?

Well, first of all, you’re “my people.” The LAST thing I wanted to do was make “just another course.” And TBH, I’ve been told this DOESN’T feel like a course, and that the access to me, my team, and community is more along the lines of group mentorship.

The LAST thing I want is to be a source of stress for ya. Follow your nose when it comes to investing, friend! I’ve recorded entire YouTube scripts about spending $$ as a creative.

But, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that copywriting is the strongest sales lever you can implement in your biz: writing in a clear, engaging way isn’t exactly something you can afford to wait on. Your website is your 24/7/365 virtual salesperson. Like it or not, the sun sets each night, and you gotta get some Zzz’s at some point. Your website’s up at all hours making a statement about you. That about page? It’s making ‘em grow their crush on you … or not. Your services page? It’s making them check their bank account to prep for paying you … or not.

Most of my clients that pay me $10K+ to write their launches? Guess what they DIY a lot of … ? Their own copy.

This is one business skill you’re gonna have to learn at some point.

I’m a writer or want to be a copywriter. Is this for me?

GREAT question. So the purpose of the course is to help creatives with their own copy, not to teach people how to do what I do, but I TOTALLY understand your question. The more exposure I get, the more I get asked this, and here's the thing: I didn't create CfC to teach you how to onboard and service clients as a professional copywriter. Just as taking an abstract art class wouldn't teach you how to start taking commission work, CfC isn't going to teach you how to service clients either.

So, we actually have a licensing program in place if you DO want to use my methods in your business to serve your own clients. The CfC process (like StoryBrand, etc.) is trademarked, so to license the methods, templates and other materials you’ve enjoyed during the course in working with your own clients, it’s an annual fee. I hope that helps explain! The course is really meant for single use, and we've had to do a lot of work with our legal team to make sure we trademarked well the IP inside, so others can use it to re-sell as a copywriting service without the worry of legal fines.

If you're just looking to become a copywriter, I've got LOTS of books and courses to recommend—I would recommend they join The Copywriter Club Facebook group, and read my blog post where I talk a bit more about that.

Also, I recommend the book Six-Figure Freelancer by Kelly James-Enger. It's truly, truly a book that taught me how to set up my career. Now, she's more of an editorial writer, so I also REALLY recommend CopyHackers courses and The Copywriter Club. In this community, I've found coaches and mentors who have helped me learn industry standards on what to charge, and so much more. When I launched Copywriting for Creatives, I had a very clear objective: Transform the way creatives who don't have a decade of corporate marketing under their belt into the best communicators of their OWN brand. I’m kinda on a course-buying moratorium

CfC is self-paced—you can start now, start in 3 months, and go at your flow. I harp on the “30/60/90 day plans" so much because that's how long the content takes if you put in a couple of hours a week. You tell me: do you have the time to not do this? If you’re a-ok researching podcasts, webinars, freebies, and blogs with copywriting formulas and psychology as you piece together your message, then go for it.

But, IF you could make more money spending that time elsewhere, then I’d consider taking the plunge.

Most lessons are under 12 minutes long, and include a smidge of homework: but at the end of the day, you’ve got lifetime access.

We recommend setting aside about 1 hour a week for 8 weeks—or 2 hours if you want to join all the calls live. Don’t have time for that? Just plan to dig into the group, where my team and I pop in each week! Even better? With lifetime access, you not only get access to the curriculum, but a standing invitation to all office hours calls for the lifetime of the program.
